Summer activity calendars by grade level.  You can print these PDF's out to work out daily problems.  Return to Mrs Schroeder when you come back to school.

Other Ideas

Read Math Picture Books - This is a great book to emphasize reading and math skills while engaging your child.

Designate Reading Time and Model the Behavior - Let your kid read what they would like to during the summer.

Make a Weekly Trip to the Library

Have a Family Game Night - Games help build academic and social skills.

Explore Math in the “Real World” -  Reinforce math in cooking, at the grocery store, budgeting to go on a trip or to the movies

Complete the Gunston Math and Reading Calendars - Prizes to students who complete them!

Use of Math Websites with Supervision

Use of Reading Websites like MyON - or others with parent supervision

Explore our Local Museums and Historical Sites - Most of them are free!

Practice Math Facts - Find ways to do this in everyday situations. Students should have mastery of addition facts by the end of third grade and multiplication facts by the end of fifth grade.
