2022 Annual Harvest Walk and Canned Food Donation

What a success! More than 2000 canned/boxed food items were collected and brought to school by students for the hungry.  Students were encouraged by the SCA ambassadors to consider the community and ways to support it.  They brought in piles of food for (The Lorton Community Action Center) LCAC to distribute. It was a beautiful day to participate in the Annual Harvest Walk. Music was provided by our "in-house DJ," Mr Benton, to round out the celebration.

A BIG Thank You to EVERYONE for helping to make the Harvest Walk a success. Hopefully you all were able to get some steps in😊. Teachers thanks for all you do and for encouraging your students to bring in food. I really appreciate YOU!! Thanks to Ms. Warner, and Ms. Hurst and teachers for getting the information out, Mr. Benton for the wonderful music, Ms. Cheatham for setting up the field. Thanks to Ms. Schroeder, Ms. Gminski and the Student Ambassadors and Mr. Fahy for assisting with counting the food and filling the truck. And most importantly, thank you Gunston students for being the best that you are. This event could not have happened without all of you😊 You All Rock!!!
