Blue Star Welcome week gave Gunston Elementary an opportunity to welcome our families who currently serve in the Armed Forces. 

We had the pleasure of mingling with our military families.

Our Active Duty, Reservists, and National Guard-connected students had a meet and greet on Tuesday. Students shared connections and stories and realized they were not alone. Students and staff donned blue to express their recognition. 

We also hosted a meet and greet for our parents. So many connections were made, laughs were shared, and new faces welcomed.

We cannot wait to welcome our Veteran community on November 10th and celebrate our military-connected-youth in April.
