Gunston's Annual Harvest Walk and Food Drive

Students collected over 1600 items for the food drive that provided donations to the Lorton Community Action Center for helping the hungry in our community. Gunston SGA is still accepting canned and boxed items from students who missed last week, all through this week, too.  The Annual Food Drive followed "Dare to Care" week reminding students to show good character, make good decisions and to be kind.

Students proudly collected over 1600 items this past week for LCAC for distribution to the hungry in our community.

After the food collection and fine words of wisdom from our SGA, students ended the drive with the Annual Harvest Walk.  Mr Benton brought the tunes and classes were able to enjoy the beautiful weather with a long walk around the playground and blacktop.  As usual, most were moved to dance.

Gunston is grateful for Mrs Ephraim and Ms Patterson (from LCAC) for sponsoring and supporting this fun and helpful event. Also proud to have the help of our SGA who counted and moved all the items in the drive along with providing good and important messages to students.
