Gunston Elementary is extremely fortunate to have two awesome school counselors – Mrs. Kemba Ephraim and Mrs. Azka Amin who support our students. In addition, we are grateful for our school social worker, Courtney Marques and School Psychologist, Nicole Campbell who are also part of this caring team.

In 2019 Mrs. Ephraim was recognized as FCPS Outstanding Leader of the Year.  As a role model she constantly inspires students and staff with kind comforting words.  She has "a special way of getting straight to the solution of any problem."   

Mrs Azka Amin is our part time counselor with a kind word for everyone, making each person feel like the most important person in the room. She always has a stash of comfort food to share and always a smile.  

Our Counseling Team is a dream team for students and staff alike, who depend them in good times and bad times.
