kemba ephraim portraitMs. Ephraim leads with her heart and radiates passion in order for each child to reach their fullest potential. To ensure that students and families have what they need to succeed, she puts into effect her can-do attitude and positive spirit which helps to create programs like “YES-You’re Extra Special” to empower girls and provide them with positive role models. She also partners with community organizations to attain supplies and provide programming for students, particularly those who don’t have access to extracurricular activities. The Gunston staff and families praise her for teaching the entire school community how to solve problems and treat each other with kindness. A student noted, “She has a special way of getting straight to the solution of any problem.”
