English Language Arts 

Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress to be on grade level in English Language Arts.

Goal: By the end of the 2022-2023 school year 100% of students in grades 1-6 will make their target growth goal as measured on iReady, students who are below the 39th percentile will meet their stretch goal as measured on iReady. 100% of students in Kindergarten will meet grade level expectations on PALS.

Strategy 1 Staff will develop oral language skills through planned academic conversations throughout the literacy block.

Strategy 2Teachers will provide daily, systematic, explicit instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, and morphology in the core language arts block.

Strategy 3Teachers explicitly teach high level language skills via high leverage instructional practices.

 

Mathematics 

Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress to be on grade level in Mathematics.

Goal: By the end of the 2022-2023 school year 100% of students in grades 1-6 will make their target growth goal as measured on I-Ready. Students who are below the 39th percentile will meet their stretch goal as measured on I-Ready. 100% of students in Kindergarten will meet grade level expectations on EMAS.

Strategy 1 Implementation of best practices in math for Tier I instruction, including small group instruction, checking for understanding, differentiation, use of models and manipulatives, engaging in academic conversations and opportunities for productive struggle.

 

Strategy 2 Implementation of best practices in math for Tier 2 instruction in grades K-6 within the math block or schoolwide intervention block to support number sense, computation, and measurement/geometry standards.

Strategy 3 Teachers will provide targeted Tier 3 intervention to students within the schoolwide intervention block.

 

Wellness 

Outcome: Ensure students feel safe, included, and supported in the school environment.

Goal: By the end of the 2022-2023 school year 100% of teachers will utilize CASEL's 3 signature practices resulting in 90% of students responding favorably on the SEL screener in the areas of Supports and Environments and Wellness.

Strategy 1 Teams will strengthen Tier 1 instruction utilizing CASEL's 3 signature practices.

Portrait of a Graduate (POG)

Outcome: All students will complete a POG Presentation of Learning (POL) by 2025-26. 

Goal: By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, 100% of students will meet proficiency in the PoG attributes of communicator and collaborator as measured by reflection rubrics.

Strategy 1 Teams plan for relevant and rigorous lesson designs to elevate student voice and increase engagement.

Strategy 2 Students share their growth towards PoG goals.

Strategy 3  We will engage our community with opportunities to develop an understanding of Portrait of a Graduate and how to support students in developing the skills of communication and collaboration.
