Portrait of an ADHD Graduate: Overcoming Obstacles While Optimizing Strengths

Focuses on ways parents can prepare students diagnosed with ADHD to be successful in the 21st Century workforce.  Topics will include:

Identifying and building on existing strengths, Strategies for developing executive functioning skills, Ways to cultivate emotional intelligence.

FCPS PreK and Early Head Start programs provide a high-quality early learning experience for qualifying income-eligible children ages 6 weeks to 4 year.  Head Start has expanded its income guidelines and families are encouraged to apply now for pre-K:

Identify tools to help you manage your money, prepare a personal spending plan or budget, estimate monthly income and expenses, set financial goals.  Gum Springs Comm. Center.

 

ARC Reflections

Help children regulate emotions, feel connected, and build strengths. Nine-week program, Thursday evenings beginning February 27, James Lee Community Center.

Crisis Assistance Program

The program helps households in emergency situations by providing primary heat security deposits and funding the repair or replacement of heating equipment. Starting January 1, it can also be used to pay for bills for utilities that are in danger of being disconnected. Applications accepted Nov. 1 through March 15.
