Gunston Celebrates Veterans 2021
Staff and students gathered to honor our Veterans.
Breakfast and photo ops were shared with our heroes before the ceremony.
Then the SGA lead our heroes to ceremony where they were greeted by applause and cheering of the students and staff in attendance.
Members of the Gunston SGA shared the start and meaning of the first Veterans Day and then recited a poem. This was followed by a musical salute to all the branches of the military where members stood as their songs played. Students were able to connect with a grateful wave as they passed the honorees when returning to their classes.
